About Alliance

Led by the Food Future Foundation, the Food Literacy Alliance (FLA) is an inclusive multi-stakeholder alliance to build a food literate society in India. In food literacy, experiential learning is leveraged for preventive healthcare. 

The Alliance would promote food literacy in two ways. The first is its programme on foundational food literacy in Indian schools and the second is food literacy for all citizens. 

Alliance partners and supporters include academic and research institutions, civil society and consumer organizations, and the private sector. 

The overall stakeholder universe would include the schools and the professionals in food and nutrition. 

For its school programme, it has partnered with peer organizations such as the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), the Hriday Foundation, and the Nourishing Schools Foundation
